A Transit Visa is an entry permit granted to a foreign national for admission into Sri Lanka for a short period which is incidental and in the course of his journey to another destination.

A transit visa for two days will permit passengers to transit through Sri Lanka Sea/Airports and to enter the destination country within such period where the visa period cannot be extended as transit further.

Not allowed activities:
Strictly prohibited activities under Transit Visa status-
Engage in employment paid or nonpaid employments or self –employment or any kind of business activities.
