1. Acceptable Use of the Portal

• Users must provide true, accurate, current, and complete details in all digital forms.
• Submitting fraudulent documents or making false declarations is a punishable criminal offense under the Penal Code and immigration legislation.
• Unlawful attempts to compromise portal security, overload infrastructure, or scrape protected data are strictly prohibited.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

All official emblems, graphics, document templates, statutory fee charts, and published content remain the exclusive intellectual property of the Government of Sri Lanka and the Department of Immigration and Emigration. Unauthorized commercial reproduction or misrepresentation is prohibited.

3. Limitation of Liability & External Portals

While the Department makes every effort to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of published advisories, statutory procedures, and fees, administrative guidelines are subject to change by gazette notification. External hyperlinks to affiliated ministries or third-party institutions are provided for convenience, and the Department accepts no liability for third-party content or service interruptions.

4. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising in connection with portal operations shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Sri Lanka.
